4-MMC (4-Methylmethcathinone)

4-MMC or mephedrone is a synthetic stimulant and empathogen that affects the central nervous system. Chemically, it belongs to the amphetamine and cathinone classes, and it is in fact similar to cathinone compounds found in the khat plant native to Eastern Africa. It was first synthesised in 1929 but remained obscure until the late 1990’s when it was rediscovered on the party scene, and increased in popularity in the 2000s.

4-MMC Effects
