Valium (10mg)

$40.00
Valium (diazepam) is a medication primarily used to treat anxiety and insomnia. Each pressed pill contains 10mg of diazepam.
NOTE: Each pill is sold individually.
Valium is the brand name of the compound known as Diazepam from the Benzodiazepine family of chemicals. It is used to combat insomnia, anxiety issues, panic attacks, muscle spasms, and seizures in patients suffering from epilepsy. It is also used in a clinical detox setting to alleviate the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal, and it is sometimes used as a pre-medication during certain surgical procedures. Compared to other drugs from the same family, it has a longer half-life and lower toxicity in overdose. This allows it to be used to wean off dependence on other Benzodiazepine drugs.
Like other drugs from Benzodiazepine family, Valium is a central nervous system depressant, i.e. a “downer”. Its primary intended effects are calming, relaxation, and sedation. The effects begin in 15 to 60 minutes when taken by mouth and can last a long time. Doctors usually set the dosage and frequency based on individual facts about their patient. The total duration is affected by various factors such as age, weight, metabolic rate, and smoking.
The medical effects of Valium are:
Valium is legally available in many countries including Canada as a prescription drug. to treat general anxiety disorder, insomnia, or muscle spasms and seizures. Studies have shown that long term use of this drug in its prescribed manner does not lead to addiction or dose escalation. However, the risk of addiction is higher for those with a history of alcoholism or other drug abuse.
The correct therapeutic dose varies with the individual and symptoms being treated. Given the drug’s long half time, the maximum recommended dosage is one pill (10mg) per day.
Valium is more apt to induce dependence compared to related drugs such as Xanax. Withdrawal symptoms in a dependent person can be severe, which is why treatment is usually discontinued in a slow and gradual manner. If you stop taking valium and experience any unusual symptoms, get medical help immediately.
Valium must not be combined with alcohol or other “downer” drugs such as opioids or barbiturates. Doing so may cause severe sedation or other dangerous side effects. Some prescription drugs and some oral contraceptives affect the clearance rate of this drug from the body and so increase the chance of side effects. You should seek medical assistance if you experience adverse effects such as shallow breathing, slurred speech, or blurred vision.
Valium is not recommended for patients suffering from sleep apnea or other breathing disorders. Pregnant and/or nursing women should not use this product except under explicit guidance from a qualified physician.
Valium may affect a person’s ability to drive or operate machinery, especially if combined with other drugs.
Keep out of reach of children. Store in a sealed container at room temperature. Avoid exposure to moisture.
Valium is a powerful and commonly prescribed drug used to treat anxiety, sleep disorders and seizures. It can be used safely as evidenced by its legal prescription status in many countries including Canada. However it is a potent drug that must be treated with respect. Following the dosage and safety precautions listed here will help ensure a positive experience for users.
