Adderall (30mg)

Overview

Adderall is the brand name for a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine.  As a CNS stimulant, it is prescribed to help increase attention span, improve focus, and manage symptoms of hyperactivity and impulsivity in individuals diagnosed with ADHD. It is also prescribed to help reduce episodes of excessive daytime sleepiness in people with narcolepsy.

How It Works

The medication acts by increasing the activity of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain. These chemical messengers play key roles in attention, alertness, and impulse control.

• This medication may not be appropriate for individuals with certain heart conditions, high blood pressure, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, or anxiety disorders.
